Have the last few years left you feeling like burnout, fear and overwhelm are your constant companions?
You want to be an effective healthcare leader and compassionate with your team , but the weight of constant, changing demands has left you burnt out, exhausted, and helpless.
You're desperate for a solution - to find a way to move forward, but you don't know how to manage it when your old ways of working aren’t working anymore.
On top of your challenges, your team is struggling with staff retention issues and ever-increasing conflicts. You want to help create a great team environment that provides great care, but you aren't quite sure how.
You need a clear, practical and actionable plan that you can trust to move you and your team from burnout to growth.
You need new skills to adapt to the current environment. You need complexity leadership training.
"I have had the good fortune to be connected to Penny Paucha and the Evolution of Thinking™ program over the last 10 years as I have worked in various leadership roles. The Ontario health care system is complex, but the strategies learned are clear and manageable - put together, I believe I have been an effective and positive change agent. This would not have happened without the Evolution's theory of complex change management, and the one-to-one leadership Coaching that I engaged with Ms Paucha in during my tenure as AFHTO's President.
Penny and team have effectively steered many individuals and groups through the navigation of their local complex change challenges, including but not limited to Health Links, Ontario Health Teams, the OCFP leadership mentoring network, the Southwest Primary Care Network, individual FHTs, and many more small- and large-scale change efforts. I strongly endorse this approach."
If you're eager to grow your leadership skills and find a way to thrive in an uncertain world, you're in the right place.
Drawing from the latest neuroscience research, the Evolution of Thinking™ program will help you develop the basics of complexity leadership skills, including how to:
"The Evolution of Thinking™ course came at the perfect time. I learned how to trust my strengths as a leader, let go of the details and trust my staff. Before the course, I always felt guilty when I didn't know all the details. I learned to trust and empower my staff."
Get ready to rekindle the spark, motivation and energy that used to drive you.
Let's do a brief exercise straight out of the EOT curriculum:
Start with remembering your why.
When you look back over the pandemic, despite the chaos, were there times when you felt your purpose come into focus? You knew that you were doing important work that mattered. What if you could find a way to connect to your sense of purpose while still balancing work with rest and recovery?
It sounds impossible, but our clients have achieved this by changing their thinking and their habits to be adapted for complexity through the Evolution of Thinking™ program.
Join them and join us in being the next success story because your work matters.
This live, online course runs for 13 weeks with a total commitment time of 30 hours (24 hours of content learning, 5 hours of coaching labs) and, unlike theory-focused courses, is based on a cycle of learn, experiment, and evaluate. This cyclical, hands-on, and proven leadership training method will enhance your ability to retain what you learn and apply it successfully to real-world situations.
During the Evolution of Thinking™ program, you'll participate in:
Each virtual learning session will teach you a new complexity leadership skill and guide you in creating an action plan that details how you will experiment with the new information by applying it to your work.
Review and reflect on your experiments and have the opportunity to be coached directly by Penny Paucha and the Instincts at Work team on your implementation successes and challenges.
Measure your progress in the program by goal setting at the beginning and review + reflection at the end. You will have ongoing support and feedback throughout the program and after to help you attain your goals.
The Kolbe System™ measures an individual's instincts and how they naturally work. As a participant in EOT, you will take the Kolbe Assessment™ to highlight and leverage your instinctive talents.
Throughout the 13-week program, you will participate in weekly Performance, Focus, Commitment (PFC) check-ins with the Instincts at Work team and other EOT members. As a group course, we encourage you to engage with and support each other’s journey.
"The value of the Evolution of Thinking™ program is found in the course's ability to help students understand their thought processes through a structured approach based on the neuro and social sciences. This understanding will allow students to appreciate the actions of colleagues and subordinates. The result will be an improved ability to delegate, comfort with managing conflict, a structured approach to meetings and most importantly, an ability to create coalitions for meaningful transformation."

Not yet sure if the Evolution of Thinking™ Program is the right fit for you and your team?
Consider that healthcare leaders and the organizations who've invested in complexity leadership training have experienced:
increase in alignment to a common vision
improvement in team integration and performance
increase in engagement of stakeholders
increase in the ability to think more strategically and have a growth mindset
increase in flexible thinking by focusing on vision, not just problems
increase in the ability to explore creative solutions
"Having done several other leadership programs, I was skeptical that the Evolution of Thinking™ program would provide any additional value. I was surprised and pleased with the results. Most programs sound great, then one gets back to work and the materials get put aside then discarded a couple of years later. With spreading a variety of sessions over several months - allowing for reinforcement, incentive to test out techniques and then discuss them - I learned and retained far more than past experiences. As a team, our meetings run more smoothly, we get more done with less conflict, and we are clearly moving ahead faster than before."
